In my seven years of teaching a wide array of classes, my philosophy has developed into one about ownership and autonomy. I've seen that students learn best after they see that mathematics is a project that everyone has a right to contribute to, rather than a font of eternal knowledge that belongs to a small few.
Here are the classes I've taught since starting at CSU.
- Fall 2023 - Math 160: Calculus for Physical Scientists - Instructor (course coordinated by Hilary Freeman)
- Spring 2024 - Math 369: Linear Algebra I - Instructor (Sections 001 and 005)
- Fall 2024 - Math 369: Linear Algebra I - Instructor (Section 004)
Here are some Desmos demonstrations I've made for my linear algebra class. The left is an illustration of Fourier expansion, and the right is an illustration of the Gram Schmidt procedure, both in two-dimensional space.
